Concept designs
Visual designs are meant to be a guide, a foundation to sprout new ideas. It never has to be a direct translation. Most first ideas are changed many times over anyways until it is perfect! This is my favorite step.

It already seems like so long ago I was sitting here finishing silver pieces. I wonder what other crazy task I'll be doing next.
Reach out if you want to work on a project!

This is just me rambling~
I started working as a bench jeweler at ORF, my boss and I got into a long conversation over our love of opals and he offered me a position working at the booth. I told him about how I worked for Zales as a designer but I wanted to get my hands dirty and learn how to set stones, size and solder, and just make some pretty stuff.
I wasn't a performer yet, I was very shy, but I did play a lot of fun characters. When the booth business moved to Michigan full time I decided to join cast- and then I realized the world was a whole lot bigger.
Garb.. Props... Special items.. history.. gosh there's so much to make and do. Where do you start and can I afford this? Well if I make it all myself I bet I could afford this!
*Muttering endless nonsense*
How do I sew.. How do I hand stich this? What sorcery is this!? It's cheaper to make my own wings but how- with what. I can't do it, I've tried so many times to make a ruff. No maybe this time I'll get it right. . . Oh great now what! my printer broke so I can't print anything fancy (true story) I guess I have to learn calligraphy now. Oh but I want a book to write it in but not just any book because I'm petty like that. My fingers are okay I just need to get them to stop bleeding I'll just wrap them in tape and use a better needle, ow- okay how do I sew pages into this spine. I'm tired of having these ears, everyone has them I want something that looks real and alive. I'll use this hammer. How much does it cost to make your own prosthetics?!? *researches and $235 ish dollars later* Wow I can make as many ears as I want now- and I can show people how to make them too. This is awesome *D* oh my I have so many people want things too? OKAY lets make something special~!
I have a wonderful connection to each piece I make for myself and others. I encourage everyone to try it at least once, don't ever say you can't do something. If you are interested in it; it's possible to succeed!
